YOU ARE
NOT ALONE
There will be good days and there will be really, really hard days, but over time, it'll hurt a little less.

I'm proud of you for being here right now. "Death cannot part one love in two hearts."

"I find that grief and sadness can be like the seasons. There are some days where you're lost, sadness everywhere. Seasons of darkness and pain and moments when you relive everything and the pain is fresh again, as if it's only just happened. But if you hang in there. If you're patient, the cycle continues, and the sun will come out again, the bitter ice and pain will thaw and then you'll be able to see the beautiful life growing around you. Seasons of peace and acceptance. But like the seasons, it's okay to feel the lingering chill of winter despite the happiness around you. You're healing. It's okay to feel what you do. We don't shun winter for it's short days and chilly mornings when all we want to do is stay in bed, do we? It will get better. Hold on. The seasons will change. You're going to get through this. <3"

Grief gets easier as time passes. It's always hard, in a way, but becomes easier as you learn how to cope.

It gets better, even when it feels like it won't.

You made me feel like I was never alone and I thought you were my only source of strength at times. I know now that I was always strong and it was your absence that reminded me just how strong I am.

No two people grieve alike. We may have lost the same person, but out relationship to them was different. It's important to recognize and remember this. We can be there for one another even if we are grieving differently.
Grieving is NOT a "do it alone" kinda thing!!! It's healthier to grieve in community. Allow yourself to grieve in community!

Grief is like the ocean. It comes in waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes it is calm and sometimes overwhelming. All we have to do is learn to swim.

Yesterday was a nightmare. Today is hard. Tomorrow is unthinkable. But know that there will always be someone who is willing to stand by you throughout it all, even when you don't think so.
